I just had a miscarriage, and I read in the patological report that there was velamentous insertion of the umbilical cord. Could that almost certainly be the trigger of my miscarriage?

Velamentous Insertion is when the veins of the umbilical cord insert into the membranes of the placenta, rather than on the placenta itself.
